Turning Tricks
This was a real find. I enjoyed the book immensely. The ideas, some of which, I have already used are great. Having met this turner/author at various venues and demonstrations over the years I knew that I would not be disappointed in his informed opinions. A book that I will treasure and dip into for many years to come.

Excellent book.
I teach woodturning and I recommend this book to all my students as it is well written and at the beginning of each chapter there is a detailed explanation with pictures on how to do it,then there are designs to get you doing it yourself. It is written for the beginner and will be useful for turners who would like to brush up on techniques.

This book is filled with sexy wood. I love watching the wood turn. It is carved into so many different shapes, all smooth and sexy.

Some people watch football or golf or basketball. What fascinates me are people like this author who can take wood and carve it so thin, you can shine light through it. My own lathe has seen some interesting projects spin, but never anything as good as is written about here. Described in the book is an art form by a dedicated artist. And it shows in his work. "WOOD TURNING PROJECTS....." details a pathway to perfection. However far and however deep I wish to penetrate into that wilderness is completely up to me. As Robert Frost said, "I came across two paths that diverged in a wood, And I took the one less traveled. And it made all the difference." LOVE IT!!!!

I purchased this book for my brother in New Zealand, and he is delighted with the gift. The parcel arrived in time for his birthday and he is happy as the book gives tips and ideas that he hadn't tried out yet.
