I needed to mount this to my drill press in a perpendicular orientation. As a result, the goose neck and light would not stay in position despite tightening the anchor nut in the base. I ended up drilling a hole through the goose neck base screw and through plastic base, then used a small nail to anchor the two together. Now it stays wherever I aim it, but without this mod, it would have been unuseable when mounted perpendicular.

like the design, like the switch on the head, like the holder, just don't like the light color, also could be a little brighter and wider light spread.

I have this mount to a magnetic base and am using it on a milling machine. The amount of light it puts out is decent. My biggest complaint is that it must hang almost straight down from the base or it will move on its own. It is mounted behind and above the quill, about the only place I can mount it. The stem wants to turn in the base and not stay where you set it. I have seen this in other off brand lights as well. I may take the time and see if I can secure the stem to the base so it will no rotate so easily. This is enough of a problems that I am only giving it three stars. A light is not much good if it will not stay where you put it.

I got this light to add to my work bench to give me more light for when I am wiring hobby projects. The light is very bright and is helpful. The lighted area can be widened the further away or higher you mount it. Leds tend to be more spot light than flood light. This one is somewhat in between which is nice.

Mounted this light on the side of my band saw. The magnetic mount is very secure, and the light beam is even and very bright. My only wish is that the cord is not as heavy duty nor as long as I would prefer. Overall a very solid light.
