Excellent
This is the best wdt tool I've used. It's solid, has a good stand, and the angled prongs make a big difference. I regret having bought cheaper less effective ones first. Go for this one from the start.

Makes a surprising difference to the coffee.
We had a cheaper WDT before this one, having not been convinced it would really make that much difference to the coffee taste. But when the last one broke I invested in this one, as we've realised that the Normcore brand products tend to be superior quality and are worth the extra money, and I've been blown away but how much better the coffee tastes. You have to insert the prongs into the device yourself but this is very easy just don't be too rough as you don't want to damage the prongs. One swish of this around the coffee grinds before depressing with your chosen tool and you'll really increase your coffee game.

Expensive but worth it
It'd be easy to look at this tool and think that it's overpriced. However, if you know enough about espresso to know about WDT, you have probably already heard the phrase "buy once, cry once". I did try and cheap out with more affordable WDT tools but I didn't have the same success that I did with Normcore's tool. Sure, it requires some assembly but all of the ones I tried did, but the Normcore's twisty top makes inserting and removing needles a breeze. I'm also a big fan of the stand. I don't like magnets or metal on metal because it'll eventually scuff. I feel like the padded arms give the tool a much better chance of surviving scuffs. This tool is the unsung hero in my coffee prep line-up.

Great Tool - Stand Is A Must
Fantastic little tool. The stand is a MUST. If you leave your WDT tool laying on its side the needles will permanently bend. The stand prevents this. The needle sizes are also very good.

Great item but tricky to set up
This is such a great addition to our coffee making set up. While the set up was a little tricky, to get all the prongs pointing the right way and get them all tightened. Once you get the nack it’s easy to do the rest. This is such a great to for using to distribute my coffee before tampering and definitely improves the flavour. I love the little stand that it comes with and when I occasionally bend a prong, it’s easy to take one of the spares and replace it.

Equally distributes the coffee grounds really well
This equally distributes the coffee grounds really well and separates the coffee before brewing. It's not essential to have and I'd probably say that I do not notice a significant difference in taste, however it's still a nice experience when making my coffee in the mornings.

Well made
My fitst WDT tool - I have gone with Normcore for all my accesories and this is sturdy and well made. I just wish the stand was magnetic so could put on my machine.

As a beginner, I was looking for tools to help me pull better shots (just bought an Espresso machine for the first time). This WDT works great, feels premium, and has helped me with my portafilter prep. Do you need one this expensive? No. Is it well-designed and premium? Yes. I love it- it's easy to use and fits my machine's design perfectly. The Good: Instant Improvement: The 9 thin needles break up the tightest clumps easily, resulting in a perfectly fluffy bed of grounds. Reduced Channeling: Since using this, my bottomless portafilter shots are much cleaner with far less "spraying." High-End Build: The handle has a great weight and hand feel, matching our other premium kitchen gadgets perfectly. Protective Stand: The weighted base keeps the needles safe and off the counter when not in use. The Not-So-Good: Delicate Needles: Because they are only 0.3mm thin, they can bend if you’re too aggressive or drop the tool. I'll report back after a few months of use. Cost: It's expensive, and much cheaper ones will likely do just as good of a job. Pro Tips: Replacement Ready: The kit usually includes extra needles, which is a life-saver if one eventually gets bent during a hectic morning. Pair it with a dosing funnel and a weighted tamper!

This is the 3rd set of WDT needles I've bought and I couldn't be happier with this one. The handle turns to lock the needles in place, where they were loose on my previous one. The outward spread of the needles makes it easy to get into the corners of the basket. The handle is comfortable to hold and is heavier than other models (feels better quality). I like that they send 0.25mm needles and 0.30mm, so you can choose what best suits you. Fits well in its stand. It's a 10/10 for me!

I’ve had this for two months now. It initially worked well and had different options for needle width. But after 2 weeks, the screw tightening design failed to work and 3 out of 8 needles fall out and can not be held in place. Waste of money for something very expensive considering the other options.

This tool does thew job well as it will help distribute your coffee evenly around the portafilter. Some minor complaints would be the method to put new needles on/off and the holder. When you try to place it in the holder it’s a bit difficult if you have your other hand holding the coffee or portafilter etc as the mount can only fit in a small gap. Overall, it’s a great product but maybe if they had a better mounting solution.
