Q: How wide is the clip that wraps around shelf? My shelf has about 1/4" gap between bars will it fit?

I believe it is too wide. I had a problem and used a hole punch to nip off both sides and it worked fine. As a matter of fact I like it better because my other cooler where it can move they sometimes get pushed up and you can't see the price. I lost 2-3 until I figured out the exact spot to nip.
