By my troth and the hairs on mine arse, I bought this electric windproof lighter chiefly to set mine farts ablaze for the merriment of mine tavern mates. Alas! The flame (or lack thereof) proved too meek; not once did it kindle a proper arse-thunder, only a sad puff and the stench of failure. Yet for the dullard tasks of lighting pipes, candles, or the odd witch at the stake, it performeth most admirably, swift and steadfast even in a gale. Wherefore, good folk, buy it—for all things save igniting thine own nether-blasts. Five cheerful stars and a hearty recommendation!

This is smaller than it appears in the photos, which is a good thing. I wasn't sure if it would be bulky in my pocket. It's not. I am glad I got this version with a flashlight. The plasma works beautifully well. Would 100% buy again. I love the fact I can keep recharging this via USB without having to buy fuel. It's 100% waterproof. What a great invention. I also like the fact that the plasma ends are pointing outward, rather than inward at each other. That makes lighting things so much easier. Great value for the money, would buy again!

I got this for a friend of mine who smokes. She is scared of having fuel (lighter fluid, butane) lighters in her purse. Dust to risk of the fuel leaking out. So I got her the electric lighter. She uses it everywhere. She was very sure how well the lighter would work. Now, she uses it all the time. Great lighter, the protective case is a great secure holder.

Now I have some complex feeling s about this one.... as an electrician I love the novelty. Also as an electrician, deplorable of using a type of "controlled arc" to literally start a fire is just very.....counter to my training. Even if so damn small it's almost silly. But we saw a babyshower wreck redwoods. So let's be safe folks. The flip side is, as someone who loves survival and the outdoors. If your buying this seriously?, You should be able to light a fire by now with some other, preferably multimple or stacked meathods of non industrial means. Yes, that includes not using doritos and dryer lint. Im talking from scratch. Wich, logistically speaking, having a range of methods is always of hemp in regards to increasing your capacity chances of survival. It appears and feels rigid enough an ran after I dropped it into the sink and retrieves it after. But it's also not something you can use like an open flame at the same time. Small kindling lighter size space to fit a leaf or two in, cross paths to make a central point with arc maximizing it's heat generation visibly on center. This creates a good pont for someone to just be encouraged to hold something right in the middle of the x woth thier...bare....hand.... Prop whatever your lighting,drying out with heat or burning for other purposes with something other than your fleshy meat hands please.

I'm always looking for things to make camping more enjoyable because of items like this. For the last 40 years I had to rub two sticks together to make a fire. But since I left the cave and came into the world of technology I will never go back. This is perfect for not only starting fires, it will help light candles and works as a micro stun gun for small insects. Haha. No seriously it does. Let's talk about the pros. I like it because it's packable and it doesn't take up any room and fits easily into a pocket. It stays dry even during downpours. There's also a lanyard to go around the neck so that you don't lose it because I like to lose things. I also like the fact that it has a locking lid so it doesn't accidentally get opened and get wet and fail to function. What I don't understand is why they put the charging port under the hingeable lid. I understand it was there so that it would be waterproof but I've had lighters like this before which are also waterproof where the charging port was accessible without having to open the lighter. I just wish this was chargeable other than somewhere under the lid. If not for that I would have given it five stars.

I have always wanted to have a lighter and this one is everything and plus more. The light is bright enough to fill up a dark room. Size fits perfectly in the palm and really appreciate the good quality whistle that came along with it. Build quality is amazing with the housing. Haven't tested under water yet, but I don't suppose it is for diving anyway. A perfect gift for yourself or others. Update: The disco light while using the lighter unnecessarily takes up battery charge. Also, price almost halved since I bought last month. Certainly doesn't inspire good feelings.

This seems to be a good lighter. Received it only yesterday. After using, I will give a correct feedback.
