'Rhymes and Times of Rippling Phonons' is a treat to browse through. The poems evoke a sense of wonder, makes you travel across the world and into space, and often cloak a benign but keen commentary of contemporary society.My favorites from the collection are the ones that narrate stories through crisp stanzas  such as 'Justin Snider', 'the angry donkey, 'Delbert's christmas surprise' amongst many others. Although the poems are mostly humorous and underline the importance of a value system to its young readers, pieces such as 'helplessness', 'death of a clown' and 'manic fantasies' explore some darker themes that I think readers across ages will be able to empathize with.The book caters to a young audience and children are sure to come out with a richer vocabulary. But I do think it makes for an equally good read to all lovers of poetry. Its is joyride, interspersed with melancholic realism. Much like our lives.

Sometime words can take you places. These simple words bundled together got me totally engrossed. Loved all the poems especially because this genre of literature worldwide is dying out slowly and is being replaced by blathering slangs everywhere. Although the target audience looks to be teenagers and young adults, the poems are a brilliant collection for all ages.
