W.C. Fill Valve Side Entry

Some assembly required but once done very easy to fit, It works extremely well and I am very pleased with the outcome.

The previous time I replaced this type of equipment, I had to adapt it as was too long, so having an extendable arm was a bonus (ie its shortest length was perfect). Adjusting the point at which arm raises to close valve to stop water entry was annoying - but I got there.

Great product, easy to fit

Pros: Simple straightforward design; Very light; Cheap. Cons; My main criticism of this unit is related to the adjustment of the arm length. Adjusting the arm to the required length requires removing two small plastic cotter pins, repositioning the arm, and replacing the cotter pins. The problem is that these cotter pins are difficult to remove without damaging them. I took great care removing them but still damaged one beyond repair. This means that I cannot fit the unit yet as I need to source a replacement cotter pin. These pins should be supplied separately from the main unit so that they can then be fitted once the arm is adjusted to the required length.

A straight exchange. The swivel ball float made a positive difference where previous fixed ball was quite tight against cistern. Ability to rotate the float cleared the issue.

Does the good well for the price

The product works fine, but the quality is very much tied to what you pay for it. Installation made difficult by the style of retiaining pins, some pliers and some patience helps.

Cheap and effective piece of kit which would resolve many problems that many people simply ignore.
