Q: How to connect the dash camera to my cellphone?

First of allyou need to make sure the camera is on, then you can follow my video: 1. Search & Download the 'Peztio' App in iOS App Store or Android Google Play Store. 2. Turn to Peztio APP and allow the permissions 3. Click 'Add camera' and follow the instruction 4. Then the app will jump to wifi interface of your cellphone, then join A3 wifi 5. Back to Peztio App and access to the camera. Please remember to format the SD card via the app for the first time you inserted the SD card.

Q: Can I remove the camera from the windshield?

The camera can slide out of the mount. The mount stays attached. They do give you an extra double stick tape for the mount

Q: My state (SC) only allows dashboard mounted cameras. Anyone try to mount this product directly to the dashboard successfully?

I'm not a lawyer, but here's what the SC law reads: SECTION 56-5-5000. Windows unobstructed; windshield wipers. No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sign, poster or other nontransparent material upon the front windshield, sidewings or side or rear windows of such vehicle which obstructs the driver's clear view of the highway or any intersecting highway. The windshield on every motor vehicle shall be equipped with a device for cleaning rain, snow or other moisture from the windshield, which shall be so constructed as to be controlled or operated by the driver of the vehicle. Every windshield wiper upon a motor vehicle shall be maintained in good working order. This dashcam is so small that it fits completely behind the rear view mirror leaving zero window obstruction. If you still want to do a dash mount, this camera isn't going to work. The camera only fits into the mounting bracket one direction, and that puts the mount on top.
