I agree with the previous answer that the box is approximately 185 x 125 wide at the lid and 175x115 at the Base. It is 75mm deep but with the foam in place top and bottom you only have a usable depth of around 65mm with the foam compressed.

It’s to do with varying pressures depending on height above seal level etc on watertight cases. There’s plenty of detail if you google ‘purge valve on flight cases’ or similar.
