An important item to keep on hand, like the ink.
This maintenance box collects excess ink generated during the printing process. Once this sealed unit is full it will prevent the printer from functioning, until replaced. Due to availability in various locations it is prudent to have one on hand sooner than later. There will be a warning message given before shutdown.

Purchased 2 - One Used
I purchased two ink maintenance boxes, one came in a box and the other came bubbled wrapped in a plastic bag. It's time to replace the maintenance box and decided to start with one in plastic bag and it's full of ink and bursted out onto my documents and printer. So went to the boxed one and thankfully it's new. This is unacceptable and disappointing. When I need another maintenance box, I'll make sure its in original packaging next time, is the lesson learned.
