This is my go to filter
I have a good set of NISI filters, but I find that I'm using this much more often. It is so much easier to use when you are on the move. I was on a photography holiday in the West of Ireland lately and just kept this filter on my Z6 Nikon camera. The polariser took out the washed out colour of the sunny sky and sea. I used the ND filter for sunsets, as I prefer not to have the full sun in the shot to avoid glare, but still get the lovely colour of the sky. The filter leaves no colour cast. I have also found the filter very good at darkening waterfalls sufficiently to get that nice smooth water effect.

Videographers experience below
Using the 77mm filter - from a videographer's perspective, here are my thoughts: Pros: • Adjust exposure on the fly - I can keep ISO, F-Stop, and shutter speed all locked while my subject goes from direct sunlight and into the shade by sliding the orange adjustor. • I can adjust my ND strength while keeping my CPL in position. • Build quality feels great. • Great ND range for outdoors and sunny weather. • Works great with step-up adapters so I can use it on my smaller lenses. Cons: • I have noticed some vignetting in certain lighting situations. • Adjusting the ND strength sometimes pulls and rotates the CPL filter. You can physically see the CPL rim rotating as you push the ND slider. Can be avoided by holding onto the rim while adjusting the orange slider. Would I recommend this product? Yes I would. I bought this for the free moving ND slider which some other VND filters do not have. The ability to freely adjust stops in sunny conditions makes this product vital to my videography work.

Not for photographers, settings move as you dial in the other
I bought the 49mm for its pocketable size so could always have it in my bag. Sadly as you set the CPL the ND moves slightly, then once set you move the ND ring and the CPL part moves, sometimes only slightly, but enough to throw off your settings. You have to hold one ring in place while moving the other. This works while on a tripod, but hand held I found it really frustrating and hard to juggle, making it not worth the hassle. On a positive note it hard stops and I didn't get the dreaded X and I found the colour reproduction very true to life and as far as the build feel and glass goes, its 5/5, but the dual implementation didn't work for me, so returned.

Rotation annoyance...
Firstly this is a pretty high quality piece of manufacturing, the frame, glass and smoothness of the rotation rings are great. It was well packaged and the little leather case it comes with is awesome. My gripe with this iswhen rotating the VND you end up also moving the polariser ring...this is more annoying when you dont want to engage the polarisation effect. This means you need to use both hands, one to hold the inner ring and the other to adjust the ND, fine if you are on a tripod but if you are hand held with a heavy DSLR and wanting to adjust quickly its not easy to manage. Most people i would imagine use this on on a tripod and probably wont find this annoying, but for thise street photography days in harsh glary lights i can see this causing a few messed up / unexpected lens intervention.

Can't put a lens cap over the filter
I bought two of these for my lenses (different ones) and while they are presented nicely, with luxury packaging and they are heavy and solid, the lens cap don't fit them. Their diameter is teeny tiny bit larger than should be and the caps ALMOST fit but very loosely and with movement they fall off. You can have either a lens cap or a filter on your lens, not both. This is very frustrating because the filter is opened to scratching and damaging while handling a camera between shooting. Unless, of course, you have the all time and patience in the world to remove the filter and put a cap on and then replace one with another each time you want to shoot or in between the scenes. I use Nikon D810 and good lenses and I can't believe that this is the way these filters are designed. I will try managing this but there is a chance I will go back to my old Hoya filters. They are also expensive (some even more) but at least I can put a cap on them so they don't get scratched. TERRIBLE fault! How can they NOT accept the caps over them???

Quite a nice design, but poor build quality
I wanted to like this product—it's nicely packaged and presented, and is optically pretty good. Unfortunately there are some production issues that need addressing: 1. The mounting thread stripped almost immediately, so it can't be tightened onto the lens. 2. The VND rotating ring sticks halfway through the permitted range. It seems to be catching on a rough patch of metal that should have been smoothed off. It can be made to travel past this point, but not easily. Maybe it's just a bad copy, but as it is it's useless, regardless of how nice the case is.

Totalmente recomendable.
