No image on mine and backlight does not light
With my Raspberry Pi 3 B+ I get no image and the backlight does not light. I tried it with a vanilla image. I tried it with the image provided by Waveshare. Tested with the HDMI port on my Raspberry Pi and that displays fine (I would test with another DSI display but I don't have one). With the DSI ribbon cable to the Waveshare display I get nothing. Tried both the provided DSI cables in case one was bad, but have the same result with both. After plugging and unplugging it many times while trying to troubleshoot eventually the clip on the ribbon connector on the display broke. Also, this came with zero documentation - I ended up going by the PDF on the Amazon product page. Apart from not working at all though, the spring loaded connectors to provide power and I2C data is kind of a neat idea to reduce the number of things you need to connect.
