Q: I follow the directions, but the grits alway seem to explode out of the cup all over my microwave. What can I do?

This is what I do, stir before microwaving. Use back of spoon to take the lumps out by pushing against cup inside. Watch cooking time. Take time to stir again after only a short time less than a minute. When the consistency is to you liking, remove stir again, and let stand a bit. Patience.
