the Italian stallion
Italieri always put a smile on my face when it comes to military aircraft model, the attention to detail is incredible, I find the instructions easy to follow and thr model making fairly esxy. the packaging is always environmentally friendly. They produce reasonably priced models for all ages to enjoy.

Beautiful model of the Blackhawk
Italeri have created an exceptionally nice model of this iconic helicopter. Beautifully detailed and appointed with nice internal fittings. At this scale it is a large model and the rotors will take up a fair bit of shelf space. Although to be fair, having them rotate freely adds to the value of this model. It just wouldn't be right if they were folded. The excess of detail makes this a nightmare or a dream for painting depending on your view. Getting this thing into an authentic colour scheme with weathering and stains on the relevant pieces is actually a pleasure, and the detailing provided helps a lot to get this right. No, oil streaks etc are not modelled on, but the detailing for vents, exhaust and other parts is more than sufficient to see where wear and tear and weathering would occur.Worth every penny for a beautiful model that has had some care taken in it's creation.

Good quality
I'm in the process of modifying this kit to build a UTH-66 Blackfoot (the fictional helicopter seen in MGSV: The Phantom Pain - yes I'm that geeky). It's based on this model of helicopter, which is why I've bought it and started kit-bashing the parts I need to fabricate to make the UTH-66.I've never had a problem with Italeri models, I have a couple of others that are pretty good kits - read a few times that the quality is not up to scratch but while I'm not a hardcore modeller, I've always found them to be decent.Pleased with this one.

Awful quality
Really poor quality, the model has so many defects, yeah the details are good but the main shell of the helicopter has plastic over the edges and in parts that need to be attached by putting them in holes it’s also really hard to put the shell in the right place as there isn’t anything to hold the helicopter together while they glue is settling so you have to do it all free hand, the glass doesn’t fit as it’s too big and there isn’t any support on the windows making it pretty easy to put glue on the glass and making it cloudy, some of the parts aren’t even the same size and don’t fit right as one is too big or small and some parts snap whilst attaching them, this has to be the worst model kit I ever bought,I’ll never buy anything from italer, it’s a real shame because I expected way better and I wasted £13 on this.

Dont go by the box art
The helicopter kit itself is fine but the box art is misleading as there are no figures included in the kit and now I have received it, it does not state they not included either, Always look for a review before buying on line and read all the descriptions before making your choice.

Incorrect listing
I've just received this item and it's not a 1/48 scale kit, as the product listing states, it is in fact a 1/72 scale. I went back onto Amazon and there appears to be two different scales of the Italeri 'Night Raid' kit on sale around the site. A closer look at the photo does show 1/72 printed on the box, but that's beside the point.Because I've not built the kit, I'm not giving as many stars as I might. I'm annoyed that the product doesn't match what's on sale.
