Update: The seller is super helpful and very generous. They sent me a second lamp for free to avoid me paying return fees but the lamp is fundamentally flawed. It cannot stand on it's own at all. I'm not sure the factory that designed this lamp has actually ever assembled it. Please spend your money elsewhere. We now have two non-functioning cheap lamps.On the surface it looks very nice. The metal makes it heavy so its strange they would have a wimpy bit of plastic to secure the rod to the base. The plastic broke instantly and now we have to return it becuase there's no way to fix it without cutting the wire and use super glue or saulder it to the base.

With the Edison bulb, this made an attractive addition to my space even though the joint at the base was wobbly from the start causing it to tilt at odd angles. But sadly I didn't get to enjoy it for long, because the joint in between the rod pieces snapped in half when I minorly adjusted the lamp one day, causing the entire structure to fold in half irreparably. Bear in mind I had had it for less than 2 months and hadn't touched it since installation. It looks like the rod and the thread components were either very poorly welded or only glued together. The redeeming factor, earning the 3 stars, was the swift and thorough responses from customer service, who after making several of their own suggestions that didn't seem workable to me ultimately gave me a full refund. I'm glad they were willing to work with me.
