We're Going on a Bear Hunt

Bought this for my autistic brother and it’s been a great choice. The repetitive text and rhythm make it easy and enjoyable to follow, and the illustrations really help keep his attention. It’s a fun, comforting story that works well for shared reading. A timeless book that’s suitable for all ages.

Lovely story, beautiful illustrations & ideal for a pre-schooler.

What can I say, it's a classic. It was Nursery's book for the month so we needed a hike version. Fun for all the family and a reminder of my own childhood.

Our kid first heard the famous song rendition of 'We're going on a bear hunt' and we bought this in a heartbeat. We were all impressed by that nostalgic sketch print and the quick lines filled with action words. This truly is a fascinating book for kids which has a relatable storyline, kids reading this might have already gone with their parents on a 'specific' hunt before, walking through hills, grass and mud but it also includes that glitter of imagination by adding the 'bear hunt' goal to this day trip adventure. It all goes like a march and, as a reader, you pick up the pace even more so after the 'Bear' chases the family. Last - it includes that metaphor of always going to be safe at home, under the blanket, this is the safe space and the books ends in that nicely with a disappointed bear outside the house and a laughing kid by your side :)

My kids loved this book growing up so of course had to buy for my Granddaughter too. Lovely big book and great illustrations

I bought it for my granddaughter, she is 2 years old. I think the book is too long for her. I love the book and I have been reading to my children at school
