Part of our premium True Bullnose product line, these treads use carpet made by J Mish in the USA, who puts it best: "Laredo Corde has a corded sisal appearance with a uniquely thick, chunky texture. Tufted of Ecco Tex wool blend yarn, Laredo Corde is offered in a palette of seven warm neutral colors inspired by the rich, variegated tonalities of natural materials."
We start with this awesome JMish Ecco Tex Blend Wool carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the boarders and then permanently attach our True Bullnose rigid edge.
The standard width sizes are made for a 10" deep tread to fit 1" thick stairs, but we can make any custom width/depth/thickness or even an custom matching landing rug or runner -- send us a message and let us know what you need before ordering.

As shown, the TRUE bullnose stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so that when installed it will stay nicely wrapped around your stair tread. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope that your tread will stay wrapped around the end of your stair tread. The True Bullnose treads have a non-skid material added to the back of the tread so it does not move once set in place, but can be easily removed by just lifting it off without harming your stairs or leaving a residue. The photo of the underside of a True Bullnose tread shows the construction of the rigid True Bullnose product. We offer the TRUE Bullnose Stair Tread for the discerning DIYer that wants a high-quality alternative to the old school/costly full stair runner, which required professional installation and permanent nail damage to your wood stairs. You can center the treads on the stairs, or install them flush up against one side -- either way looks great and it only takes about 10 seconds per stair to install these! Matching rugs, mats, runners, and landings can be made on request.
