Will my dslr with hdmi out work as webcam device? i use camtasia which camtasia which only work with webcam device (but not with most capture cards)

I can't make any specific promises about the HDMI output from your DSLR but in general terms, yes, the Magewell USB Capture units will take a video source (SDI or HDMI, depending on the model) and make it appear as a generic webcam device (i.e. as an imaging device under Windows). They are UVC (USB Video Class) devices which use the default drivers in the operating system, which is how they achieve compatibility with a wide range of software.

Can i use 2 cameras through this?

No. The one HDMI port is for input from your camera, the other one is a loop through which you can connect to a monitor to see what is going on. If you want to capture from 2 cameras simultaneously you would need 2 separate devices (the regular ones not the plus ones will do the job), or you could use the dual capture PCI card if you have a PC to put it in.

Yes, (and it'll also capture 720p and PAL/NTSC SD content over HDMI as well, if required).

Works great but how can the manufacturers justify such a high price?

Video capture okay, but AV sync very broken

Whilst the video capture works fine, if you care about the audio and want it in sync with your video then this product is not going to meet your needs. Under both Windows and Linux, ffmpeg or OBS Studio, the AV sync is inconsistent at the start of capture, and then continually shifting during capture. Competitor products like the BlackMagic UltraStudio are much better for AV sync. Returned.
