Pull Starter Cord Rope 3.5mm x 3 Metres Lawnmower Hayter Briggs Engine

JOLLY GOOD PRODUCT GREAT QUALITY AND THE RIGHT LENGTH TOO.

The old pull cord finally gave up after many many years on my 40 year old Honda, and was only the second cord in it's life so far, and it did take a lot of use. So looked on Amazon for a quick replacement, and came up with this cord, I did not need the pull handle just the cord. 3.5mm was the size and anything larger could have been a problem fitting it around the starter pulley, and at 3 mts long was more than enough, in fact that could have given a good spare length for next time. Nice strong cording, but it does need to be cut with a very sharp Stanley blade as the outer wrap can shred and prove to be a pain trying to get it through the relevant holes. All in all very impressed with is cord at a very very good price and delivery.

I bought this starter rope for my Honda Izy after the last one frayed and snapped. When it arrived I was a bit disappointed that it was a narrower diameter than my last cord but it seems fine. The fitting process is fine for me as I’d done it before but if you haven’t then search YouTube and you’ll find plenty of help, important is to seal the ends with a match or lighter to stop them fraying. The rope is much longer than I needed but this was useful to get some final adjustment in the pull length before cutting it. I have used the mower about 10 times since fitting and all seems good, hoepfully it will last a few years and the. I might update the review to 5*.

Bought to replace a frayed cord on a McColluch mower. Fitted in a few minutes, trimmed approx' 20 inches off once done and refitted assembly. Looks and feels very strong, functions as should so all good.
