Q: What is beveled edge of this spatula made of ? And what is thickness?

Three sides are beveled, metal is one piece that appears hand stoned-ground. I have no measuring tool for a 'thickness' answer. It is a heavy, well-made kitchen tool. This baby is not going to bend easily if that's what you're after.

Q: Will this spatula stand up right with out holding it? I have been looking for a spatula that I can let stand on the skillet with out falling. Thanks!

Dear customer, This spatula have the full tang handle , can not stand up without holding. We ever produced and compared two kinds sample , half tang one can stand up without holding it , but can not lasting long, easy to broken for heavy duty work; but full tang one last longer , much great for heavy duty . Q: How about the handle , full tang or half tang? My old one have half tang handle, it is died due to loosed handle broke into two piece .

It is a two tang (two wood pieces), secured by a solid metal that appears somewhat rivet-like (whether these rivets are applied from one side or go straight through to both sides is unknown). I'm of a mind that if it's not tossed around carelessly, put in dishwasher or left long periods in water it will hold up well. Utensil is a quality piece.
