Living the Airstream Life

If you have an airstream ( or are just interested), this is a great book to have for the coffee table. It gives a history of the travel trailers, has some great photography, and is a quality book. Made a great gift in my case!

I bought this book as a gift for a relative who loves to travel and who plans to get an airstream in the near future. He was very pleased to receive the book--oohed and aahed as he scanned the pages before moving on to open other gifts. I was also very pleased to see the quality of the book, its colorful illustrations and helpful information.

Really interesting history to read about and quality photos to look at!

Beautiful book based around a very American way of life and living, Parts of the books premises is the expected and interesting meeting of the different people embracing a mobile lifestyle, the stories is what caries the book over rather un-engaging photography. But from beginning to end the book create a in-depth portrait of the AirStream trailers, from beginning up through today, with chapters on maintenance, financing and how to make a living from your crisp new (or remodeled) trailer. If you have any interest in trailers, micro-homes, live in sprinter-van's etc.. it is in fact a fascinating read, however the language and constant harping on the Airstream products high ideals, design goals and unique contribution to the world, makes it hard to imagine this book being written by anyone outside of the Airstream marketing department, Im not sure Karen Flett's connection, But everything said and done, thats not really important, its a well documented read and bit of a reference for anything Airstream. Ultimately for me the voyage is exciting and well worth getting the book. Recommended.

I love the organization, themes and photos in this book. The author did an excellent job outlining Airstream history and progression of models throughout the years. The personal stories and people living the Airstream life are endearing and encouraging. This is a fabulous book for anyone considering an Airstream or for enthusiasts. Thanks and great job!!!!

A great read on the Airstream family of trailers. History of the iconic trailer, dimensions, models and stories by the people who live the Airstream life. A must read for the potential owner or aficionado.

Karen has done a fantastic job of organizing all of the aspects of the Airstream from history to customizing, to full-timing and media resources, with excellent photos. Karen has done an amazing job researching, photographing and describing the iconic Airstream itself and those whose lives are made brighter by it. This book is so much more than eye candy. It feeds the soul with delight and possibilities and is a must have for anyone who dreams.
