A little finicky to put together but I figured it out. Even with the screws fully tightened it still feels a little shoogly but it might just need time to get used to. I would definitely supervise whoever is using it at least at first as my mum feels a little unsure about it and I want to make sure it will be steady to support her as she stands up. I think the hand grips could use another couple of holes so you can raise them a little. I am definitely pleased it sits flush with the sofa as I was worried it might stick out like a trip hazard but it doesn’t seem like that will be an issue. A little padding on the hand holds might be an idea but overall I’m satisfied with it.

I bought this item as it went to the floor and I felt it would be more suitable than a previous one that I had bought. And I was absolutely right. My son installed it, it didn't take long. It's quite safe for me.

My first problem is that it arrived late but that was by no means the worst. Whichever way I built this it does not fit my sofa. It is too high to go under my sofa cushions which is ridiculous as it is SUPPOSED to be for low sofas and while I can get it at the right height and width to go over my sofa cushion it is not stable in that position and rides up at the back which could lead to a fall. I am so disappointed because for the price it should be designed to do the job I bought it for.. My only option now is to purchase riser feet for the sofa which will cost me another £60 because I will need 10 of them and my mother will not be able to use this device until they arrive. My other alternative is to remove the extender bar in the feet and get someone to saw that bar off and to the height I require. Again that is going to cost me time and money. Besides the item being way over priced for what it is (bed risers are a fraction of the cost) and given it is going to be used by people with a disability, I could not recommend this product at all. Yes it is easy to put together but that is nothing if it can't be used without serious alterations.

The device fits our large sofa where previously my wife used the arm on one side and the seat on the other. Now the device provides stable grips of equal height and makes standing a lot easier.Waiting to discuss a VAT refund.

Noticed my husband was getting up awkwardly.This was the only thing online that we could find that would aid him getting up from sofa.It could do with being a but sturdier, the handles wobble a bit but it does the job.
