I use this scale to measure the quantity of SMD parts that I use to kit-up board builds. UNLIKE most milligram scales, it will count weights in small increments. (1mg) Most of the other scales I have used will not "move the dial" for results unless there is a relatively large change in mass, like 15 or so milligrams. This one will count individual milligrams. Perfect for counting quantities of small items like chip-transistors. I will say this though, there is no documentation as to how to use the serial port / protocol it uses.

This scale malfunctioned in less than six months of use—it is not used daily. It is a terrible Product. Do not waste your money on this one.

the scale LCD shows a # for whatever you place on the pan. and the # changes / drifts over time. there is no indication by the scale which is the correct #. the 200g weight that comes with it is not marked as to its precision. the manual leaves out operation via AA batteries alone having any more accuracy than using the 110VAC cord. and nothing either of leaving the AA's in place. there is an old-style db-232 9-pin socket on the unit side. nothing in the manual tells you how to use it. after fooling with this scale for a week i filed a return w/ amazon. and checked the 'defective' box. it was especially worthless with small mg amounts. often a # would appear on the LCD then soon disappear. no mention of these absences of info or erratic behavior was mentioned in the manual or on their website for this 210g 0 . 001 model with their label added to the box it was dropped off locally. and amz sent e/m notices all along to show me the return status. and in less ' n 2 weeks a refund was in my visa acct.

The instructions are not only lacking information but they provide incorrect information. It wasn't difficult to figure out on my own though and it has been working very well.

well built and accurate

I bought scale to use for reloading ammunition, I shoot F class and am constantly in search of greater accuracy. The scale seems to work fine. The display stays steady and the scale itself is well constructed. My only issues are minor. In the instruction manual, for calibration you are instructed to push the SET button, rather than the CAL button. In order to “tare” the scale you are instructed to push the O/T button, which makes sense, except you cannot see that button. For some reason the manufacturer decided to use a single green button, with white writing for the tare button. I can only read the white writing if the light is just right. They should have just used all white buttons. Like I said the scale seems to work just fine and I’d recommend it to others. My concerns are minor. Update to my initial review. There are two LCD displays on this scale, one in front, one one the reverse side. Today, two weeks after I purchased the scale the front LCD stopped working. I tried call their customer service, no one answered the call. I’m awaiting a reply to the email I sent the company.

DO NOT BUY Dead out of the box. Doesn’t calibrate. Outside of window. Hundred of dollars wasted. Scam product that doesn’t actually work. Do not buy.
