Ateco 6 pc Stainless Steel Triangle Cutter Set

I could not find a biscuit cutters in any store. I ordered these, and they not only work for biscuits, but also will work for cookies of various sizes. Nice and sturdy, and cut though dough nicely, too.

I regularly make homemade buttermilk biscuits from scratch. I grew up using a "perfectly" sized drinking glass to cut the dough. Through the decades, that "biscuit cutter" has broken or been lost. Recently, I have been unable to find the "perfect" cutter, so I started searching the web for genuine cutters. From descriptions I did not like the sizees presented, and I thought the pricing was too high. The press on this set described sizes that were close to the one I liked. They were stainless steel, so I could avoid the breakage. There were two sizes on either side of the one I wanted, and the price was so-so. I decided the risk of unacceptability was minimum, so I bought the set.I am currently using the largest cutter, which is slightly larger than my usual size. I have grown accustomed to the larger size, and I am pleased with the shape of my biscuits. The cutter is easy to dust and sharp enough to cleanly slice even my stickier doughs and it is very easy to clean. The set can store in my special rolling pin, pastry scraper, measuring spoons/cups drawer without causing a clutter. I highly recommend the set for cutting buiscuits. There is nothing fancy, but it is effective.

Have had multiple baking tools from the same brand. These cutters are sturdy.

These cutters work perfectly fine. They are sharp enough to cut out cookie & biscuit dough cleanly. They are smaller in height size than my old cutters and do not seem as sturdy, but they do the job I need them to do.

I had been using cans, glasses, whatever i could get my hands on, but I wanted a crisp firm cut for my biscuits so they would stay risen instead of squashed by a glass. America's test kitchen rated these their pick a couple years ago, so I decided to break down and by actual cutters.! the difference is amazing These are sharp and easily cut through biscuits, puff pastry, cookies, but don't smoosh the edges so I still get lift and flakiness.Another aspect doesn't have to do with cutting but storage. Because these rounds all fit into each other, and have a tin with a lid, they are easy to store, don't scatter all inside the drawer, very smart and useful.The sizes are a great variety. These also work for dumplings, cookies, pretty much anything you want a nice round cut.

I purchased these cutters to cut pastry leaf shapes to decorate holiday pies. The nice assortment of shapes can be used for multiple holidays and are nicely packaged in a tin which can be stored easily. I simply tuck mine into my pie plates when not in use. The pastry leaves I made this morning came out very precisely. I recommend that you refrigerate your pastry leaves for about 15 minutes and then embellish them with veining using the dull side of a small knife. Brush lightly with an egg wash then sprinkle with sugar before baking on a cookie sheet covered with parchment. Allow to cool completely and then arrange on top of cooled pie. I’m experimenting by freezing them on parchment in airtight containers before baking them. These cutters have a rolled metal top which could possibly retain moisture after washing leading to rust. I recommend that you place them rolled side up into an oven safe pan and allow them to heat in your oven for several minutes before storing in order to evaporate any residual water.

These are great for fondant/cookies/ pastries. The included sizes are good, although I do wish it was larger than a 6-piece so it had smaller ones, as well. They are sturdy and well-made and I hand wash them to keep them in good condition.My only complaint has to do with the shipping condition from whichever seller so bought it from. The tin had been smashed in shipping so all the squares were squished sideways and were not perfectly square- they were starting to look slightly diamond-shaped. I have just tried to mold them back into proper squares by hand each time I use them. It's a bummer, but I feel it isn't a reflection of the product so I didn't want to deduct a star. I could have returned them for new ones, but needed them right away.

These are easily becoming my favorite cutters. The quality exceeded my expectations, the tin is very handy for storage, and I love the range of sizes. Honestly for the price I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality - the seams are barely noticeable and seem to be firmly sealed.The top lip protects your hands/fingers from injury when pushing down to cut items (which I know sounds silly but frankly not all cutters have this lip and can sometimes hurt to press on). I don't just use this for soft things like cookies, but for things like slicing through a 1" piece of ham for an Eggs Benedict, tomatoes and bread to make some snazzy mini-BLTs, and to create perfectly sized salmon or crab cakes. Would buy again for myself or as a gift.

I had to form the cutters in an oval shape, they are nearly round!Very expensive
