This is a diaper bag. I suppose if the laptop is small it might fit.

Q: Is there a pocket for bottles on the outside of the bag?

There's no netting or open pockets to put bottles, but on the side of the bag there is a zipper compartment meant for a bottle with insulation. It fits a bottle as big as a 16.9 oz soda or juice bottle.
