Good item, quite a decent thickness to the product which sits nicely in our white composite sink. Baskets were becoming a problem to purchase and this is an excellent alternative. We have just given it a rinse and wash over with a spray bleach cleaner every day and it has not discoloured at all. Minimum splash when tap is running. We use a dishwasher for our main washing so mat is for protection when washing items that cannot go in dishwasher - working well so far.

We opted for the grey version of the mat after reading numerous reviews that indicated the clear option was susceptible to food stains. So far so good after a few weeks of use. The mat enables us to use the whole of the sink without a bowl, great for soaking larger pots and trays. As long as you rinse the mat under running water after use, any food particles etc are removed and the mat does not require further cleaning. Other reviewers have commented on its strange smell; initially there was an odour after using it with hot water however it was only noticeable if you really leaned over the sink to find the smell! I can't say that the odour is noticeable in the kitchen generally. No issues found with the mat floating either, so all in all a good purchase. The grey tone actually looks quite pleasant against the white of the sink and does not show unless you are actually standing over the sink area.**July 2020 update - Mat still in daily use and no issues after all these years ! **

This is a very thick but flexible mat which is perfect for me as I never use a bowl. I bought it to protect the sink obviously and it would also make a good protector of the drainer so I will probably get another after seeing the quality of the item. The things that are going to scratch the sink obviously is cutlery but also when cleaning a pot where elbow grease is required it's surprisingly difficult to do so without resting the pot at the bottom of the sink which I would always avoid unless I put a cloth in there to rest it on. So for me this mat is great for protection in small sinks without having to use a bowl and those slits in the corner make sure that it will fit almost any sink. Very pleased. EDIT: I am downgrading this to 3 stars because within days I noticed that it stains indelebly. I noticed a patch of orange staining which came from a spaghetti sauce. No matter how hard I try or what I use this seems to be permanent as though the material has absorbed the colouring. What worries me is if it absorbs as easily as that it could perhaps trap bacteria. I am surprised about this and I would have thought that the price of this mat being more expensive would be made of better material.

Before, I had a ceramic kitchen sink which had it's day, as with the kitchen itself, so had a new kitchen fitted, and decided to go for a stainless steel sink, I was advised to have a sink protector to stop scratch marks in the bottom the sink, I am really pleased I took the advice, and with this product, it stays put, easy to clean, and large enough to cover the whole bottom of the sink, no scratch marks at all, and helps to protect glass when washing up by hand. Highly recommend.

I purchased this for my sink top. I wanted something that was clear and easy to clean. It fits perfectly on my drainer, and it grips really well. Very durable as mentioned in the information and I would definitely purchase again if necessary. Lift to wipe underneath and I used a multi purpose kitchen spray to wipe over. Very pleased with this product.

Bought two Sink mat (one of this and another one which is a smaller size "Addis Cushion Soft Sink Mat") and this is bigger in size and it fits nicely the sink draining portion. The quality of this product is good and I'd would say probably better than the other one. The size is good as well and one should check out the size against what they intend to cover and it fits just the porcelain sink drainer that I intend to cover for protection sake. Well worth the money!

This works well in that it fits easily, is simple to clean, packs away when not in use and is hygenic. I bought it because having moved to a house with a hard ceramic sink after a stainless steel one ( the clumsy washer-up's friend) chips were appearing on plates and mugs and the kitchen rang with occasional high-pitched alarm of breaking pottery. The mat improves things but does not cushion my bowl sufficiently from the sink. Hence only 4 stars. Perhaps I ought to change the bowl.

Recensione e foto aggiornata dopo un mese e a 2 acquisto: Il tappetino si presenta molto robusto e ben fatto. Penso sia uno dei migliori che ho trovato sul mercato. Gli angoli tagliati permettono di adattarlo benissimo a varie misure del lavello, per cui lo stesso formato riesco a metterlo sia nella vasca grande (40*35) che in quella più piccola (30*35), dove grazie al rialzo mi dà un ulteriore protezione in altezza. Si pulisce benissimo con spugna e sgassatore e non resta unto. Il cibo non rimane incastrato ma defluisce fino al tappo del lavello e inoltre è molto stabile e pesante, non si sposta!! A contatto con acqua calda non ha subito alcuna modificazione, rilascia solo un po' l'odore di plastica ma personalmente nulla di sgradevole comunque. Dopo 1 mesetto circa di utilizzo si è ingiallito, ma rimane cmq integro e pulito anche se non più trasparente (nella foto a confronto) e ne ho ordinato un altro per la seconda vasca. Personalmente do importanza alla robustezza e protezione che dà alle mie vasche, quindi il prodotto fa il suo dovere egregiamente! Soddisfatta per due volte della spedizione di Amazon, che anche in quarantena si distingue per velocissima e puntualità!

Die Einlage ist ansich wunderbar. Allerdings riecht sie extrem nach Plastik / Lösungsmitteln. Wirklich unangenehm. Nun nach ca. 6-8 Wochen Nutzung verfliegt der Geruch langsam.

the mat turned pink and can't be cleaned back to clear even in the dishwasher. so we used it once and now it's unusable in my white sink.
