Q: How do I install solar panel bird guard

There are a couple of YouTube videos on similar products that you can watch. 1. Cut the fence to a manageable length using tin snips or wire cutters. I used 6 ft . lengths. 2. Measure the distance between the roof and top of the solar panel. Bend the fence at the width you want using a 2 x 4. I used a 5 inch width. 3. Slide the washer a little ways on to the wire hook. Feed the wire hook through the fence until it catches onto the underside of the solar panel. Once the hook catches on the panel, slide the washer on the rest of the way. Space the wire hooks 2 to 3 feet apart as needed. 4. Overlap the fence sections by about 2 inches. 5. For corners. Cut the smaller part of the fence that you bent, and bend the fence to match the corner. If there is a gap, you can cut a small piece of the fence and attach using zip ties. I used the scrap pieces from step 6 for this. 6. If there are exposed brackets, cut around the brackets and slide the fence on so it is flush against the solar panel. 7. If there are wires, cut the fence so the fence is above the wires. If necessary, cut a small piece of fence and attach to the fence under the wires using zip ties.

Q: can I order extra 26feet to complete project?

To the best of my knowledge, no. I had the same problem. I ordered an extra bag of fasteners, and used metal shears to cut half-inch mesh hardware cloth to 6" width to match the size of the mesh in the roll kit, and to make up the shortfall. Hardware cloth typically comes in 2' high rolls. It's not coated, like the roll from Amazon is, and it's a little harder to work with (use work gloves), but it worked. I put the hardware cloth on the upper edges of the panels, where you can't see it from the ground.

Q: What gauge is the mesh?

16 or 18 gauge It is thin and lightweight but it is tuff.
