I have a large Rottweiler who used to continually pull and being quite small myself I have struggled to find a lead which worked for us. This has been a god send, so glad I spent the extra money! It's strong, well made and durable. The push down button to hold it in place is strong and works really well and is easy to release when necessary. It's not overly heavy and is comfortable to hold and use. I have used it with the bungee tension cord which is great takes all the yanking and pulling out of it which was killing my joints! My dog now walks so much better than she ever did before knowing she has freedom to roam and I can still keep her safe or stick to local rules it's brilliant can't rate it highly enough! So good that my dad who also two rotties has asked me to get him one! Because he thinks it's great! If you're debating it and cost is an issue is say do it, I probably spent the same amount on countless other leads all which were useless when I should've just got this in the first place!!

Excellent lead for a large dog. More than robust enough to cope with my 54kg Rottie. It is on the heavy side, my girlfriend tends to complain about the weight sometimes. Made to a high quality and you'd expect so at this price. The clasp is beefy but isn't sprung too tight, meaning its easy to open with cold fingers. The ribbon lead never tangles and isn't too harsh on the hands when controlling the dog. My only complaint would be that there is some slack when the lead is locked. So there is a clunk when you pull that 1cm or so of slack in and out.

Love this lead it's long enough at 26 feet and retracts very well. I'm using this for my german shepherd and previous reviews have said it may drag on the floor, but I have had no problems with this issue. Pros very well made and sturdy, also love the length. Retracts and feeds extremely well. Cons a bit on the heavy side and the big clip sometimes twists, but when your dog returns this goes back to normal. Buy this lead you will love it I do.

Bought this lead to give my American Bulldog Maggie a bit more freedom. I was a little sceptical and wondered if it would be strong enough (she's a very strong puller). The lead has been a joy to use. Nice fit in the hand and well balanced. Lets her run ahead a bit and the 8m length feels about right. The well thought out design ensures it never tangles. Delighted with this lead, seems like a well designed good quality product. Highly recommended.

BIG. HEAVY. STRONG. With a very strong Newfoundland who snapped other extension leads rated a long way over her weight this one has kept her in tow. This refers to the Giant size Update 9/3/16 Giant has survived two years with a heavy active Newfoundland. Impressed enough to buy another, large size, for a small German Shepherd. Same quality and very bright.

Extremely good quality, very sturdy. I use this for walking my Japanese Akita in the park. It's very strong, if my Dog sees a squirrel & runs for it, when I press the brake, or the lead gets to the end of its tether, the lead will stay strong whereas I'm nearly pulled over onto the floor! This is the only downside, you have to be alert if your dog likes to chase things and you have w strong dog - they can build up enough momentum that when the lead fully unwinds the pull can really take you by surprise.

Had it for 4 months and already broke. Paid more expecting it to last, not the case.
