Yes they're discs but....
What I received was clearly not a new item. The discs were covered in gliss powder and some of the wooden ones were very worn down. The striker has a rough spot on the bottom which I'll just take some sandpaper to.I get it, it's just a game and these are meant to get flicked and knocked around, but they are not new and should not be advertised as such.
