Good reliable product

Got for £5, easy to string, low tension but still lovely tone.

Augustine strings are very good generally and these are no exception. However, only 4 stars because 2 strings were faulty and 2 in one set is not what I expected from such a reputable company. The 3rd string was sticky along approximately a third of its length and the first string was cut precisely in half. The seller acted immediately and with courtesy to replace both strings.

Music

I tried these strings because on my Guitar I find the usual addarios quite bright and brassy. These strings are nice and mellow, but they do not sound like this for long and dull quite quickly. I suppose if you are only playing a few times a week they are OK , but I practice at least 2 hours a day and they soon fade. I suppose if you are playing in concert and change them every performance as some do, expensive- but solves the problem...

Good strings for the price but the bass strings are a bit dull.

These are good strings. I feel the other reviews are a little over-hyped. They won't transform a cheap guitar into something incredible. But they do sound good and have no negatives whatsoever.If you're looking for a straightforward string replacement then you wont regret buying these and you wont be struck with awe either.
