Spider-Man: Miles Morales Vol. 1 Paperback – 20 Sept. 2016

It perfect and it’s just like any other comic it’s simple.

This volume collects the first five issues of the new Miles Morales series, following on from his part in Secret Wars which led to the Molecule Man giving him a little “thank you”.The dialogue is excellent. The plot is just AWESOME!!

It’s a lot smaller than the other western comics I have got but it doesn’t take away from the story at all, it’s hard to dislike Miles Spider-Man and the art is up to standard.Easy enough to pick up from here with very little info on Miles from the ultimate universe but generally probably a tad expensive for the amount of content (thankfully got mine at a lower price used)

I’m a huge fan of Miles, and have faithfully followed him through the Ultimate universe. However, his debut in the new Marvel-verse (have I got this right?) is an anti-climax.It starts strong, with an great introductory sequence. But there’s just not enough narrative here for this to be given the grandiose term of “volume”.I’ve not read the second volume yet, or Civil War II which immediately follows this (and I will get round to reading both), but I’m guessing that this volume would be better appreciated as part of a binge read.
