Amazing portable record player
I've tried lots of other suitcase type record players, most are horrid sounding and also often skip. This player looks cheap but don't let that fool you. It sounds great through an amplifier or other external connected sources and yes the internal speaker is actually quite good too but obviously nothing beats connecting this to an amplifier. The needle and tone arm although cheap sound ok. But search the internet and it's possible to upgrade those if you want better quality sound. It plays all my 78rpm gramophone records ok, 7"s are great and new heavyweight 180 gram vinyl sounds good through it too.And then there's the added bonus of the little knob that allows you to use it like many do for dj scratch mixing.Oh and this turntable is also fully portable as it can be battery powered and packs up small and not too heavy (I'm guessing around 5kg?) So it's ideal for camping trips or of course going to car boot sales and 2nd hand shops to dig and find new vinyl to play.At less than £100 this turntable is great. The only real issue I have is the batteries once in are a bit difficult to remove as they fit quite snug, a ribbon to help pull out batteries would be a great addition instead of shaking your turntable and possibly damaging it if not careful.

Great value for money
This is a cracking little piece of kit. First of all, to clear up a few things that I notice from the questions on this page, might be ambiguous:1 This plays any type of vinyl - the four red marks surrounding the 45 in the pictures are dedicated slip points for 12'' vinyl, so that the underside of your record doesn't get scuffed against the body of the player when scratching etc.2 It has a built-in pre-amp and speaker, both of good quality, which can be switched over to phono if you want to connect it to your own amp.3. This has your 3 standard dedicated speeds, plus a pitch control for finer tuning. It's belt driven, not gear driven, so there is the usual small delay getting up to speed.4. There's a tone control.5. The scratch switch is simply an on/off type of deal, allowing you to use it as a basic crossfader for scratches. I'm not a scratch deejay myself, but I'd guess it wouldn't be quite as good as a full crossfader for the purpose of scratching.6. It comes with a lid and has a carry handle for portability, and is pretty lightweight. It's a full quality record deck with loads of added functionality for a great price. Nuff said.

Nice product form Numark imo, good price
Cheapest one of these turntables with fader built in, i love it, may modify it but its fun for me being old and having my 1210s stored away with my vinyl form way way back in the day. Great for price, good for pro or entry level beginner. Looking at the Korg now for more options but all these mini turntables are fun whether you can scratch or are learning.

Breaks (pun intended) even when not in use
It's been a while since I bought one of these and I only used it now and again to transfer vinyl to digital for YT. But leaving the power supply in so I can use it as and when, you know, like a normal electronic product, completely destroyed the power board. Not in an overloaded way either, just pressure on the power point I suspect and I'm sure if you could re-solder it would be fine, but I can't. Replacement parts are ridiculous to locate and when you do, even from Numark, they cost so much you're be just as well buying another oneAs someone else said, cheap plastic crap with decent marketing, that's all it is. Used for a total of approx 10 LPs worth and it's dead. Don't buy it, do more research if you really need a portable scratch player.

Simple, no frills, functional and portable turntable
I purchased this for my extended lockdown away from my usual home while caring for a family member. Light construction, easy set-up with the EZ Converter and decent playback through headphones (the in-built speaker is rubbish, to be honest). The EZ Converter software is easy to set-up but hit-and-miss to use - it took four attempts to successfully convert one record into digital using a Mac, even after following the instructions to the letter. Patience is a virtue. I suspect Apple being Apple, it's counted as an unauthorised software application but this can circum-navigated using settings on the Mac. It's nicely designed and the USP of having a 'scratch' fader thing is superfluous to me for my needs - younger users will probably love it. The volume is a little underwhelming - a little more 'oomph' wouldn't have gone amiss. The stylus and arm are relatively light and require a bit of dexterity when lowering the arm onto the record (there's no lifting mechanism - you use your fingers) and the design probably favours playing 7" singles more than albums/12", but I have tried both and, as I say, it's functional. Seriously, it's a neat little player and worth £100-£120.

Great little machine!
Arrived today and stuck a record on just to test it and the pros n cons..Initially planned to use this for a small amount of scratching but also for recording samples for music, a well as playing music from time time.I'm aware this can be upgraded to add a better tone arm and stylus, but in all honesty, i think its fine for light to medium usage..Pros: The sound is very good, not heard any ground noise, the machine plays all size vinyl, & it's incredibly light!Cons: only one well maybe 2.. there could be a option to store the power supply withing the case, and usb cable,
