Really great product, and integrated seamlessly with my Home Assistant smart universe (using Zigbee2MQTT) with just a push of a button. I had to run food through it a couple of times to make sure the silicone blades were working properly and not getting stuck. The measurements are reliably equal between feeds, and it's been working fine since day one. Can't comment about the app as I don't use it alongside HA, but all in all it does what it says on the tin.

(tl;dr: It's excellent for what I need it for) We love this cat feeder. It's been superb and we use it every day. Good things: - Feeds the cats on a schedule every day - Reports how much has been fed, so you know it's actually worked - Has been completely reliable - never failed to dispense food - Nice big food tub, so doesn't need refilling very often - Zigbee, so local control with no cloud service required - Simple to operate manually when required - so easy, I'm surprised the cats haven't worked it out! - Works flawlessly with Home Assistant via zigbee2mqtt using a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 Dongle Plus - Was pretty easy to configure (albeit in Home Assistant, not using their app) - Easy to remotely manually dispense food *and* know that it's worked - I repeat: it just works, day in, day out Things I might improve - I'd love it if they did a dual-bowl option for it, to allow food to be split for two cats Unknowns - No idea what the longevity will be like yet as only had it for one year Definitely in my top 5 home automation gadgets ever, and that's a very, very long list!

A great addition to the smarthome if you need automated pet feeding. For us it's a small dog so you just need to careful of the size of dry food. Only small balls will fit in the unit but once filled it works well. Great with an Aqara smart button. Double click and the food dispenses. Just be aware that it's not a regular USB A to USB C. For some odd reason they went with USB 2.0 a Type Male to 5.5 x 2.5mm DC 5V so I picked one up from Amazon to make moving it to another location much easier.

I can't purport to utilising all the features with this yet but am very satisfied with how well it works with home assistant. It paired with my sonoff zigbee usb immediately and I got it set up quicky and (somewhat) intuitively via zigbee2mqtt. Have been using it for a few months now.

I love this product, probably not as much as my cats though. Peace of mind that the cats can have food even when no one is home. Make sure you have an Aqara hub and you’re good to go!

I bought this product knowing that it required a smart hub to work. I had assumed that the hub would allow for more features or greater control. However all the hub dose it allow you to set the time that the food is despensed... That is it. If, like me, you had assumed you would have greater control over portion sizes or could upload a sound to the feeder you would be wrong. Every spin of the feeder is aprox 8grams and you record your voice via a button on the feeder itself. I frankly can not understand why this device costs so much more than other devices offering the same timmer feed functionality without the need of a smart hub and Aqara account.

Bought this incase I get caught at work so the cats don’t suffer. It’s great! I fill it with purina and just hit the button from my phone when I know I won’t be there. Can also set up a routine to feed them multiple times a day or as part of a routing ie, open the door between X and Y and dispense biscuits.

Life-changing! I'm super happy that companies like Aqara are innovating in this space. My cats love it. Working perfectly with Home Assistant using my Sonoff ZBDongle-E via Zigbee2MQTT.
