OPINEL Paring Knife No.112 - Natural

A great pairing knife. Sharp, nicely balanced. Keeps the edge well, but easy to resharpen when eventually needed. Really good value, especially having found how versatile it is. Lucky enough to have a chef friend, who loves using it.

The 10cm Inox stainless steel blade is suitably thin for fine paring and chopping, but sturdy enough to survive busy kitchen use. The Opinel's paring knife is wrought from high quality carbon steel which promises long life providing the blade is dried after each washing and lightly oiled to maintain its longevity without corrosion. Do not leave the knife to dry in the dish drainer lest over time corrosion sets in. Keep it sharp using a diamond file. Love your Opinel and it will provide you years of good use. The Opinel's tang goes through the wood handle approximately 2/3rds and is well riveted. The wooden handle sits comfortably in the hand and I'm well pleased.

I have another opinel knife and expected something more robust. Full tang, very sharp, but quite thin
