If you weld you know that your hands and forearms suffer very quickly from heat and splatter, no real way to avoid it.Until you get a GREAT pair of gloves.These gloves are an excellent addition, while welding there was no heat bleed through at all - they function perfectlyYes, the dexterity has a bit of a learning curve BUT would you rather suffer a burn? I didn't think so.Buy these with 100% confidence they are excellent.

I purchased for protection from my cat when I give her a bath. They are long and go up the length of my arm. They are thick and heavy made of quality leather. I will update when I use them.

Heavy and well made

I never intended to have children but somehow my parents manifested one in the form of a cat (is lactose intolerant like me, sight issues like me, loves food, outdoors, plush blankets, and anime like me) and they finally have a grandson. So as any good mom, I try to teach him the best I can, and part of that is keeping instincts sharp. Unfortunately as he got older I couldn't endure the sharp claws when playing. Sooo upset I didn't think of these earlier and would have been saved from awkward looks when at the stores and having bloody scratched up arms. Live and learn. These are great! He burns energy and I'm saved from looking like I should be institutionalized.

I bought these because I needed a new set of hearth gloves for my wood stove. They are beautifully made, and the long length would have been perfect for me, except they were too big for my hands. Sadly I had to return them. 😢

Nice gloves. i will use them to handle blackberry and wild rose bushes along fence line.
