Wusthof Hallow Edge 6" Knife
Nice knife, very sharp. Keep your steel close, the edge needs tending to with each use. A couple quick sweeps, to keep it true. Really not kidding, squishing cherry tomato's compared to filleting when the edge is true. Good balance not the best but it works. I like the size, a little smaller than chiefs knife. Great from melons to acorn squash, sturdy blade thickness, that's easy to use. Good for chopping, dicing, slicing. The steel will keep you happy, a sharp knife always works well. The pairing knife works well, a little small for my hand but works. Wash and dry by hand for proper care, a knife block with horizontal storage slits will save edge wear and tear.

Fantastic knives
We bought this about a couple months ago and here are our thoughts:PROS: Size on the 6" is perfect, the knives are high quality and sharp. We have sharpened them and coimer right back to factory. We have a number of Cutco's in various sizes and everyone (Male and Female) have been using this since we purchased it. We don't use the 3.5" as often but is is of the same quality.CONS: Can't really say there are any except they are costly, wait for a sale.OVERALL: We will probably get more when they go on sale.

These knives are the gold standard.
Best knives I've ever had. Maintain the sharpness for longer than any other knife I've ever used. They're perfectly balanced and cut through even watermelon rind with ease. The larger one is a bit heavy but feels great in my hand because it has such perfect balance. The paring knife is fantastic! I use it everyday for almost everything. It fits perfectly in my hands it'll do fine work and it's sturdy enough to cut through rougher stuff, but I sure wouldn't want to ruin it! Love these knives they're versatile. Only thing I don't get is those so-called non-stick cutouts seem more decorative than anything. Still they're a keeper!

High Quality
These knives are extremely well made. They are very sharp and hold and edge well. With very few strokes on the diamond stick, they return to razor sharp. I'll be buying more of these in the future.

High Quality Knives
These knives are high quality. They a very sharp and stay sharp. The handle has good construction. My family members have used these knives for many years. I could not understand why someone would spend so much money on knives, but now I get it. No more using those dull cheap knives from BJs.

Probably the best Knives I've ever owned.
These knives are among the best money can buy at a really good price right now (less than 130 at the time of the writing). Superb carbon steel. The other German brand, Zwilling JA Henckels is JUST as good. They're both superb knives that will last decades if properly maintained. The reason why I decided to keep the Whustoff is that the handle is more comfortable for me and my wife. The Zwilling knives are larger (even with the same inch) feel a smidge less nimble since the knife is heavier and the handle is large and bulky. I'm a 5'9 guy with a slightly above average hand size, and this Whustoff just feels perfect. If you're a 6'3" and above person with large hands, you may enjoy the Zwilling better.Just learn how to use a honing rod and sharpen it when it's needed and you'll be set for 30 years. Don't you ever wash these knives in the dishwasher though. The reason is that the water pressure from the dishwasher may throw the knives against each other chipping them (like any other steel) if they clash against each other. It's unlikely, but I had other knives (of other brands) ruined by ignoring this manufacturer rule. Do not risk your quality knives by not hand washing them. The knives themselves are incredibly sharp and nimble. I tried to slice hard cheese with a decent Cuisinart knife and the knife barely moved, once i pressed the whustoff against the cheese, it went through it almost like warm butter.
