Relentlessly intelligent, gloriously uninhibited and occasionally controversial, QI has engaged the brains of discerning quiz fans for over a decade, garnering no fewer than ten prestigious TV awards and multiple BAFTA nominations. Hosted by Stephen Fry and co-starring stalwart player/resident whipping boy Alan Davies, these shows feature Bill Bailey, Rich Hall, Jeremy Hardy, John Sessions, Clive Anderson, Jo Brand, Rob Brydon, Danny Baker, Jimmy Carr, Linda Smith, Phill Jupitus, Dara Ó Briain and many others joining the ranks of cleverclogs and dunderheads sparring with the famously erudite quizmaster. Each show contains questions of such brain-boggling difficulty or baffling obscurity that a correct answer is a near-impossibility; instead, points are deducted for answers that are both obvious and wrong, and awarded for incorrect answers which are, nevertheless, Quite Interesting! From Atoms and Biscuits to Cockneys and Divination, this nine-disc set offers an unmissable meander though the complete Series "A" to "D .SPECIAL FEATURES:[] The Making of QI documentary[] 40 minutes of unseen archive material[] How to Do QI Research by the Head Elf[] All the buzzers in one massive compilation

This box set contains the extended QI XL versions of the programs
From Series A to the start of Series F, QI produced only one version of each episode called QI, which are about 30 minutes long. From Series F, episode 3 onwards, they produced an additional, extended version of each episode called QI XL. These are about 44 minutes long. The BBC showed the QI versions on Friday nighs and the QI XL versions on Saturday nights (except 2019).The DVDs contain additional material about the making of QI but do NOT contain the QI VG compilation episodes. There are 2 QI VG episodes per series from series G onwards.

Shipped to States
Arrived in California in good time. My daughter loves QI but couldn't find it in our region format. She now has a multi-region DVD player so I ordered QI from Great Britain and she's chuffed!

Almost perfect
QI is funny, QI is informative and basically one of the best shows out there. No arguments about it.And this DVD compendium would've been perfect, if there were subtitles added. You know, for the hard of hearing of foreigners.

Starved for intelligent programming
Live in the US and desperate for quality programming. I love this show. My only wish would be for a "play all" option on the disk menu.

Great entertainment!
Stephen Fry and Allan Davis + guests makes this series fun and informative. I've probably seen most episodes before, but I don't think the XL versions have been aired in Sweden, so I have those to look forward to in later series.

A must for QI fans
As an American fan of the show, I have enjoyed watching the program on Youtube as well as on DVDs of the first three series (A-C) that the BBC had previously released on home video. This is the first time that the BBC have released complete sets of the program, covering the Stephen Fry years of the show, series A to M, and if you are a fan then I’d strongly urge you purchase these immediately since here in America you never know how long they will be available. They are Region 2 and they play fine on my Sony multi-region Blu-Ray player, by the way.As a British fan on the “Making of QI” documentary had alluded to, you can constantly go back to the show because even if you have seen particular episodes before, you can constantly gain new appreciation for what was discussed. And in my case, I literally forgot a lot of the answers which is actually good for repeat viewings of the show. The DVD sets are also chock full of wonderful extras showing behind the scenes stuff, interviews with Stephen and John LLoyd as we as the QI “Elves”, and all sorts of jolly japes!

excellent series, shame about the lack of subtitles
great fun and interesting series. But as others have already mentioned, such a shame there are no subtitles. Should at least have had english for hearing impaired. Being a program so centered around language, vocabulary and pronunciation and including a lot of humour. Foreign language fans could miss out on some of the quick-witted banter between the guests.

面白いけど、難しい
Stephen Fryが司会のパネルショウ。字幕がなく、出演者が次々話すので聞き取るのは難しいです。番組自体は面白く、興味深い問題が出題されます。
