Q: Could this be used for kitchen sink pipes? I don't use oils or fats but still get a build of tar-like 'gunk'. Thanks in advance for any answers!

Absolutely, the enzymes will start decomposing the gunk, but it’s a slow process which needs some time. The reduction in smell should be the first thing you experience.

Hello, if the dog loo is the natural composting type then it will definitely help but it's important to defrost the toilet first because that seems to be the main problem. You could try out BIO-P1 for septic systems, this is in powder form and needs to be mixed with 2lt of warm water to activate the enzymes. You'd kill two birds with one stone and it's cheaper. It's also used especially for compost toilets.

Q: Our soakaway may be the problem with our septic system as both tanks are always full. Is this worth a try first?

As far as Iknow septic tanks are supposed to be full,with lots of liquid on top of solid matt.When the solid matter gets near the top the tank needs emptying, refilling with water and ideally some enzyme product and the whole process started again.If the liquid starts to overflow then the soakaway is blocked and needs attention.

Q: How much of this will i need for a 1000 litre tank

200ml once a fortnight for a month, then 200ml on the second month and then a bio boost tablet every month thereafter is what I would suggest.Having researched quite a lot about septic tanks I have just about got ours running as smoothly as possible using that formulaActually for 1000 litre it would 125ml but the same way, once a fortnight for a month then 125ml second month and then the bio shock tablet every month, sorry the 200ml is for a 3000 litre tank
