The connectors sit at the outer corners under the edge of the pillow.They do not dig into you as you are not aware they are there.

Q: How big is the actual heated area (elememt to element), and how fer from the top is the first heated element

The whole bed area is covered by a continuous loop of heated element (like in a grill) with no more than 2" gap between any element, right up to the edges of the bed. The elements go right up to shoulder height - only the head/pillow area is not heated - which of course would be uncomfortably hot if it was. The mesh skirt (aka 'messed' above!) tucks in like a fitted sheet. The mesh is quite a generous size/depth, & I find it difficult to keep it tucked in neatly underneath the sheet - it tends to slip out. However as a heated blanket it's excellent.

Hi my bed is a super king so 6ft by 6.5ft. This blanket is great and fits very well. My mattress is also 10inches thick!! NO PROBLEMS, love it!!

Q: where are the controls fitted

There is a plug to go in the wall, along this wire are the control functions, easily accessible to the side of the bed and then a further connection to fit to the blanket. You can detach this connection to allow you to wash your blanket. This connection will be to the edge of the bed but with correct fitting does not get in the way of sleeping. Controls are dead easy and can be easily reached from the bed. I have controls on both sides (king size). They are operated independently.
