KOH-I-NOOR 014173000000 6 x 20 g Set of Coloured Drawing Ink

I bought these just to see what they were like. I have plans to use a lot of acrylic ink but whilst I decided which ones to buy I thought I would get these in the meantime. They aren't acrylic ink, but I just wanted to try my hand at ink painting and drawing.I was disappointed that they don't really act like acrylics, which of course is down purely to my expectations, but I have had fun.They mix very well into new colours and a little goes a long way- especially for washes.I have used some other coloured ink since buying these and I have to say these are inferior in comparison. Having said that these are half the price of the others but not only half as good. They are certainly not bad and I can imagine that for washes and abstract work they will be more than adequate for most peoples needs.I'm looking for something else, which again is not the fault of this product.I am giving four stars as they are not as good as some of the competition, but they are far better value for money and certainly worth the cost.

Great little set of inks. Quite strong, and easily mix with water.I haven't mixed the colours together though, only kept them separate.They worked fine for me on water-colour paper.The packaging makes them look like they're for kids, but they are fine for my supporting work, during my Fine Art degree.

The colour is lovely and dries quickly. However, the smell of these inks is absolutely disgusting. When I read another review about this, I didn't think it could be an important factor, but it really is. The smell is still there long after the inks have dried. Very off-putting!

I really like working with these inks. The only disappointment is that the green comes out with a definite blue tone. If you water it down then it doesn't look green at all, which is a shame.

I bought the Set of Coloured Drawing Ink for my daughter who is passionate about art and she loves using the beautiful colors of this set of ink when drawing

lovely ink, I use it in my airbrush and also in my fountain pen for drawing
