It would depend on the angle of your dashboard. If it was level-ish then yes it would. However, you would not see the road surface immediately in front, only what was some distance away. Put your chin on a table and you will see the kind of views the camera will pick up on. I hope that helps?

It can hold device which thickness less than 11mm.

I found it very easy to move. I recently had to take my car to the garage to be repaired and had a courtesy car. I put the mat in my rucksack to transfer it to the courtesy car, and didn't have any problems.

I would say yes, as there are different size grips to choose from. My Motorola X style fits, which isn't that much bigger than an Xperia Z2 phone. Hope that helps.
