Works very well on slightly stiff fabrics
I ordered the Hera marker to make wavy lines for machine quilting. I find it works very well on new slightly stiff fabrics, but on ones that have been washed it is not so effective and needs to be backed up with tailor's chalk or something similar.

Probably the best thing in my arsenal
First off, I know it’s a bit expensive for a bit of “plastic” but let me say this, it’s a resin, and is very sturdy. Not at all like cheap plastic. It’s the BEST tool in my kit of things. I use it to flatten seams so I don’t need to iron, and it marks and I use it to push out edges. So impressed with it I bought another. Absolutely amazing. If you’re thinking of getting one, don’t, just get it. You’ll love it.

I wish I'd bought one years ago!
Just what I needed for my shashiko embroidery project an, as a bonus, works well with hand quilting projects.

Makes stitching accurate - no lasting marks
An invaluable tool for quilting. No more pencil marks of fabric. The crease made with this disappears completely with movement and pressing.

Found it hard to use
Bought it to use to make narrow bias tape but found it too fiddly, so I resorted to a bias tape maker gadget. I'm sure I'll use it again but haven't needed to yet
