This is a superb gadget. I've had my Chef for over twenty years. In business jargon I would say that this beater represents a step-function improvement in performance! It wipes the sides of the bowl as it beats. I have found that 1) It saves time and effort in not having to stop the machine to wipe around and incorporate mixture that the K beater blade used to miss 2) It seems to be more efficient, taking less time to mix 3) It is much better with small quantities than the standard K beater 4) All this AND it's okay in the dishwasher.It's a bit of a fiddle at first mastering putting the silicon blade on and off for the wash, but very simple once you get the knack of stretching it a little.It comes with a spare spindle so it can match earlier machines like mine which have a small O ring. It's easy to spot which one you need and very easy to change and adjust to make a good fit with your bowl.All of my Kenwood owning friends are jealous and want to get one. Happy baking everyone!

I had the older k-style flexi beater which I didn't like at all. It didn't make contact with sides of the bowl properly and design wise it was a nightmare to clean. This one is much improved both in design and functionality. It's wider wings are now plenty wide enough to reach the sides of the bowl allowing it to scrape down as it beats and because the middle is now 'open' it is much easier to clean. It comes with a spanner so it can be fine adjusted if needed and a spare (slightly narrower) spindle fitting that can be changed - I assume if you have an older machine.

The original Kenwood beater that came with the appliance managed to get broken. Cue hunt for a replacement. Saw this and read some of the reviews and thought it sounded better than the original beater so why not give it a go. Well, lordy me, what a difference! Predominantly a cake maker, this has made it so much quicker to get the batter done. Can't fault it.

I was really disappointed when I first tried to fit this as it wouldn’t work but I had to change the post. When you do that it fits!! Don’t despair! I have a really old machine from 1963, an A701A. Make sure you try the different post attachments before you cry in desperation!! This was the second beater I bought thinking the first didn’t fit. Not the case. If you love baking then this beater is for you. It’s magnificent!!!

Having revived my 33 year-old Kenwood mixer with new motor bushes, new feet and a jolly good clean up I thought it was time to bring my old Major into the 21st Century with this incredible new fangled beater. As my user name might suggest, I have a great deal of professional experience at cake making so to find a beater that no longer requires the bowl to be scraped down, the results are really efficient.Creaming the sugar and butter on a fairly low speed then very gradually adding the egg makes a wonderful un-split or 'emulsified' cake batter without any hassle. 5 stars for Kenwood!
