Dell 27 Monitor P2717H 68.6cm (27) VGA HDMI DP Black UK 3 Year Advanced Exchange

Last year I switched from my 2009 iMac to a secondhand 2012 Mac Mini and this year decided to replace my 24" BENQ monitor so that I could use that with my raspberry Pi 3. I eventually settled on this 23" Dell for the Mac mini because it was HDMI compatible and looked OK for the price. This was a good decision. The 23" matt screen is very good for both graphics and text. My 24" monitor is fine but the text wasn't as crisp as I would have preferred, since I do more text work (coding etc) than graphics. I would say that the text on the 23" Dell has about the same crispness as my previous 21.5" iMac.The base on the Dell's stand is heavy and solid and the height is adjustable. The bezel is quite narrow so the whole monitor looks neat on the desk and is as steady as a rock. At first attempt, I couldn't get the HDMI to work so I switched the HDMI cable. As I attached it, I found that the cable needed a little more push into the monitor's HDMI port and it gave a slight click. The monitor then picked up the HDMI signal. The Dell has three USB 3.0 connections. One at the back is to receive the USB signal from the computer and the two on the side are output ports. They work fine with storage devices such as USB sticks and external HDDs, but I got poor results when attaching an external Optical Drive. I suspect that the power output isn't enough for an external ODD since my Salcar ODD works fine connected to the computer.When waking from sleep, my BENQ seemed to take a long time (c. 10 secs). The Dell wakes in about two seconds, about the same time as an iMac. I have left the monitor on the default settings but it can be adjusted with the buttons at bottom right. There are no symbols with the buttons so it's trial and error, but not a problem.Overall, I am very pleased with this monitor and I recommend it..

I've been using two of these monitors for 4 years now and they've been just great, as I would expect from Dell.I bought them:A) Because they were Dell; I've used Dell laptops, desktops, and monitors in a corporate environment for decades - they're good solid quality and they get the job done.B) I wanted monitors that were adjustable in all dimensions - height, horizontal rotation, top/bottom. This monitor ticks all those boxes, others I looked at weren't height adjustable or had no horizontal rotation.I have used these monitors on my Macbook Pro 2015 and Dell Precision desktop (with Fedora) with no issues.I would recommend.

Got two of these in dual config, one landscape and one portrait. Excellent monitors with tones of connectivity on the back end. These are definitely more of a work day monitor, not really designed for high end games, but still good enough to watch movies on. Good value for money!

One of the very few 24" monitors which offer a USB hub. Excellent buy for the price and works brillianly in my dual monitor setup.

Excellent Monitor, it has got VGA , DP as well as HDMI input, also got all input cables. Quality is excellent.

Great monitor and came in perfect condition.

Structure is firm, sturdy. The contrast however is not brilliant. The screen looks a bit dull and not lively. For document processing, it's okay.
