essential piece of kit for self cutting
So firstly all the normal stuff, arrived on time and well packaged. I have noticed that other reviews have commented about how flimsy they are and said not fit for purpose etc. In my opinion that is just the nature of wahls basic clipper combs they are made of a relatively soft plastic to keep them cheap and light. I have no problem at all with the build quality they attach securely to my clipper (super taper) and cut hair to the stated length with precision. You shouldn't have to apply a lot of pressure to the comb attachment anyway just jun it through your hair. I find the number 12 a really good length for the top of my hair just to give a bit more length than the number 8 which is supplied in most kits. A little tip as well if when it arrives the teeth of the comb seem a bit uneven where it has been in the post, fill up a cup with water from a kettle that has cooled for a few mins and submerge the comb in the cup, the heat normally allows the plastic to reform its manufactured specification. If more stubborn then you can shape the teeth manually until it looks even and then run it under cold water to set it. Hope that helps, all in all happy with purchase, as always would have liked it a bit cheaper but that's true of everything I ever buy. :-)

A cut above...
With the current situation of not being able to get a professional haircut, I thought I'd bite the bullet and cut my own. I didn't want to look like a marine with a short crew cut, so I bought this extra long attachment in the hope that it would give me a light trim instead.Well, I must say that I'm VERY impressed with the result! It took off the bulk of my 'mop' and left my hair neat & tidy. It's as good as many haircuts I've paid a lot of money for in the past. I genuinely think I'm going to start cutting my own hair from now on. I might get a 'proper' haircut for a special event, but for everyday use, this will do me just fine and save me a small fortune as well. The best £6 I've spent for a very long time...*EDIT*July 2021 - 1 year later...Well, I'm still using this attachment to cut my own hair and saving a small fortune in the process, not to mention staying safe. But as other people have noted, it could've been made out of a sturdier plastic. I do slightly worry that one day I'll press a little too hard and 'scalp' myself, but overall I'm very happy with it and am more than willing to keep using it. Nothing in this world is perfect, but this is pretty damned good for what it is. If it was just made out of a slightly firmer plastic, I would have gladly paid double the price, since it would still have paid for itself in a single haircut. So, overall, it's still a big thumbs up from me 1 year later...

Best purchase ever, saves money and time!
I bought this comb attachment in Feb 2013 (7+ years ago) and wanted to buy another one for my daughter, but now out of stock - probably due to the pandemic and people cutting their hair at home.I've been exceptionally pleased with this item, not visited a hairdresser's since purchase, and people comment all the time at how great my pixie cut looks, to the point the don't believe me when I say it's a DIY job.I've been reading through the reviews and a number comment that the item is flimsy and bendy. Yes, it is bendy but if you take your time this is definitely not a problem. My comb is used about every couple of months, so over the time I've had it 40 or so uses - still looks brand new, no cracks or splits in the plastic so although it might look flimsy to some, it's durable. There's no magic in haircutting, just decide how you want your finished haircut to look, watch a couple of you tube videos, and with the help of this comb you'll never need to pay for another haircut!

Do You Like Gambling?
Going through these reviews it looks as though it is pretty much a crap shoot as to what comb you receive on Amazon Market Place. Some vendors sell the genuine Wahl comb, others a passable alternative, Perfect Looks, whom I ordered from send a terrible, flimsy, piece of garbage. How bad is it? If this were a cracker toy from Poundland you’d be disapointed. Were you shaving convicts they’d probably have the right to complain and receive compensation were this comb used. No wonder Bezos’ wife left him if this is the standard of product he allows on the venerable Amazon!

A cut above the rest
Worked perfectly on my Wahl elite pro clippers. The guard is a little bendy, but this doesn't affect the useability of it at all. It chopped my long (12 inch) frizzy hair (I did comb it first) with ease. The seller was perfect looks. They packaged the item very well. Only drawback is that you can get the guard direct from Wahl uk for cheaper (with free delivery)

Tad Expensive for a Flimsy Attachment but Serves The Purpose.
I guess when you start getting into this length of beard you either need to be skillful enough to use a comb and a free hand. This attachment does a job but is susceptible to error. If you press too hard you can see wisps of your beard float toward the floor. Used gently it can do a better job. That is to say it doesn't do a perfect job either. I use it more as a convenience item - just in case. If you have a beautiful beard that you love like a child - take it to a barber. I'm digressing somewhat. OK - the plastic is flimsy and it should be about £2.50 realistically given you can get a fully loaded trimmer for £20.

Easy to use
Used in combination with Wahl Chrome clippers to tidy up a year of lockdown hair. Usually, when I try to cut my own hair the result is an embarrassing disaster that I am ashamed to show to a proper hairdresser. This kit enabled me to produce a reasonable cut that I am happy to wear. You must be patient and keep going through the hair until it is neat and uniform in length (if using just the one comb attachment). I watched a few YouTube tutorials first.I needed help with checking the back to make sure it was tidy, and I neatened over the ears with hairdressing scissors (also from Amazon).I'm a woman who likes short, no fuss, hair but like it still to look feminine. For an even better result I would recommend having a trusted person to help you.
