Stunning little speakers
After lots of research, I couldn't get away from these little beasties.I'm a little bit out of the norm, in that I live in a motorhome & my hobbies are music production & DJ-ing.Due to this, I needed small footprint speakers, with reference quality audio for my production but also a decent kick for my DJ-ing.On low volume, these drop low with audible sub frequencies, which is remarkable for a 3" driver. Sadly at DJ volumes, they do clip, so I had to purchase a sub. With these combined, I have an awesome set up.Everything, everyone says that's good about these micro monitors is true. The detail & clarity is spectacular. They are crystal clear & give good separation, with a wide soundstage. They are an audiophiles dream. The sound they produce, belies their tiny frame, it truly does.I'm using very good RCA interconnect cables from source to the sub & to the speakers but even with the cheapo one supplied, they did sound good. What I'm not over keen on is their looks or the brand name. iLoud sounds tacky & they do look cheap but I'm growing to like their quirky appearance. At the end of the day, I bougthem to listen to, not look at.I was a touch sceptical with all the reviews saying how amazing they are as if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. But not in this case. They truly are amazing & I'm thrilled that I bought them.

Blown away. These solved a lot of my issues.
I am a music producer and have owned Yamaha HS7’s, Focal Alpha 65, KRK Rokit 7’s and Focal 5inch monitors. I was struggling with a rig I could mix on at home and take with me to jobs where laptop speakers are not quite able to provide enough playback detail. These speakers shocked me, the bass is insane, the imagery is unique and as an audiophile I spent days listening to music just to hear it on these speakers because they bring a different experience to how the different frequencies are defined sonically. They fit in my bag, with a laptop and an interface I can take them anywhere and they sound awesome. The bluetooth connectivity makes playback extremely easy, however when recording audio it is more suitable to directly connect using the provided cable. My only negative is the location of the power switch being a bit fiddly. This is by no means a deal breaker.Apart from that…. Just buy them, you will be amazed at how huge the sound is that comes out of them, I kept testing them in disbelief running through bass-heavy music and had nothing but enjoyment. If you have a small studio space and want a minimalistic solution - these are the monitors for you! 10/10

Small and powerful. Did I also say small?
Horrible product name aside (iLoud, really?), man they pack a surprising punch especially for their diminutive size. Build wise it's a matte plastic speaker with metal grills. It feels very solid, I wouldn't say premium but moreso like a workhorse if that makes sense. Tough and rugged. They're not pretty also but again they're like a workhorse. They're loud enough for a bedroom, I wouldn't put them on TY duty in the living room imo. They sound great. Clear with good imagining and detail. Not fatiguing at all. This has pretty darn great bass for the size that's punchy and not overpowering. Some sort of wizardry must've been used to get that much low end from these little things. It did come at a cost though, at around 50hz with the volume cranked high enough you'll hear a rattle from the ports which is a shame really. Fortunately I never put the volume that high anyway so it doesn't bother me really but I know it will for others.Carrying on with some of the quirks of this unit. There's a high pitched noise when it turns on for about 30-40 seconds. This is because of Bluetooth from what I can tell from a bit research. Also I do hear some white noise coming from the speakers although it's drowned out easily buy whatever is playing or noises around you. The cable going between the two speakers is imo stupidly thick and not as flexible as I'd like. The volume knob is on the back too which makes it awkward at times.Despite their quirks I'd recommend these for people who want small but great sounding speakers. There really isn't much out there in a similar-ish price range like these. Edifier Eclipse comes to mind at a cheaper price. Other than that I can't think of anything else.

Punching far above what the size would suggest
These are quite miraculous speakers, very tiny in size with a small footprint but they sound almost the same as larger bookshelf speakers paired with a sub! They are very detailed. It's not body shaking bass at all but it's still very rich, controlled bass. They're still breaking in but it looks like they will go very loud too based on the gain and volume settings used so far. They consume 5W at idle and 5-7W in use at medium volume. The left speaker contains the class D amp and gets slightly warm, the power supply remains cold. It'd be nice if the power consumption was less whilst they were doing nothing (standby).I'm using them on a standup conversion desk next to my monitor as their little footprint was the only option.Cons:Hums at the higher gain levels especially above the middle setting, but luckily these are not needed as even just my laptop outputs plenty of signal and volume at around 1/4 or less. A bit disappointing to see, and it makes the gain knob completely pointless really, no one spends this much to listen to humming. Please note this is with no device connected, it is not a ground loop hum so it seems to be an issue in the device itself.Non removable speaker grills, which impacts the cosmetics and the audio slightly. Apparently for portability, but I won't be moving these around which I'm sure most customers wouldn't be.Reports of bad rattles over time, hopefully I do not get this, I will update my review if I do.
