I bought this to put teabags in. It sits next to the kettle, takes the teabags, gets emptied and washed out when it's full. It's perfect - saves me lots walks to our compost collector. It looks good, does its job well, is easy to clean, solid and robust. It's a pleasure to use.Tip - lift the lid to put the teabags in rather than sliding them over the top - keeps it cleaner for longer.

Great little table top bin..... just the right size to sit on the counter top in my Caravan, where space is at a premium and the main bin is outside! I line it with cheap sandwich bags to make emptying easier and cleaner! Its great for tea bags, coffee bags and all those little pieces of rubbish! The bin is really well made, sturdy and stylish. The lid spins really smoothly, making it really easy to use. I was surprised by how much you can fit into it for a 1.5L bin!

I found it extremely difficult to remove the lid from the bin initially and equally as difficult to set the swing lid in place. I had purchased the bin in order to use it for storing kitchen food waste for the composting facility collected with green waste. I found it difficult to get the compostable bag in situ and was disappointed by the small amount that the bin then actually held. Due to the swing lid mechanism, the bin cannot be filled to capacity, or the lid become inoperative.I very much like the design and functionality of the bin, so intend to find an alternative use for it. Because each part separates, it is easy to clean.

I’m delighted with this bin. It’s an ideal size for my tea bags and pods. It’s easy to clean and has a very sturdy lid. It looks very attractive and stays clean. I’m so glad I bought it.

Easy to empty. Used for paper hankies on elderly dads overlap table. He has gout in his hands yet finds it easy to push and dispose of his tissues.Now I've seen it I'm going to get one for my sink for teabags, coffee pods etc. I can think of many uses for this size bin. It doesn't leave finger print marks with being brushed steel so looks good. Nappy sacks or dog sacks seem to fit it the best if you want to line it.

I use this next to kettle in the kitchen for putting tea bags (small/medium size food bags are great for using as a bin liner). It works a treat and means I am not splashing tea onto the floor while transferring the teabag to the bin. It is easy to clean and shows no signs of rusting at all. I have been using daily for about 8 months. It looks good and I would purchase again.

I use the table top bin next to utility kitchen sink and put every day compost able vegetable,tea leaves, and fruit peeling etc before emptying it in the garden composting pile.I had a plastic one, so when i saw this i thought fantastic as I do like all Simplehuman products. This unfortunately is just that bit too small, the 1.5 liter would be fine for my purpose except that the lid hinders putting things in easily and if the lid was a higher dome shape it would be easier to fill without constantly having to wipe the stains from the bin top. So design makes it smaller then 1/5 L. It would have been better if it did not have such hefty postage!

Small, compact and well built.Small enough to fit next to my coffee machine and ideal for putting the used pods in.Have been looking around for something like this for some time so really pleased with the item which not only looks good but has a sealed inner plastic lining which makes it ideal for those leaky old pods!
