This Draper XP1000 precision screwdriver set is brilliant - I use it for almost everything now. I’m very impressed with these VDE screwdrivers. They come in a very handy nylon carry case with individual elastic straps for each handle and screwdriver set, this ensures they don’t go missing or fall out when in transit in a tool bag. The handles are comfortable and good quality, you get x2 handles one smaller and one slightly larger, the heads are interchangeable between the 2 handles. The screwdrivers themselves are a good weight, well made and perfect sizes for every type of job. I was very surprised to find that the screwdrivers themselves don’t just slot in to the handle they lock in with a satisfying click. Once locked into place they are super secure, I tried pulling out out without pressing the release and I couldn’t which signals to me they are nice and secure and aren’t going to fall out if I hold it wrong which is great. The heads themselves feel good, they are made of a steel alloy so will have an element of rust and corrosion protection. Over all they are high quality interchangeable head VDE screwdrivers that also include a super handy carry case. They are a fantastic addition to either a professional or DIY tool kit, would definitely recommend and the 5* are well earned.

This seems every bit as good as it’s more expensive counterparts in terms of build quality and blade ruggedness, the fact that spare blades are also available fairly cheaply is another plus point worth considering. The 1000V insulated shafts and handles are a must when having to work around live bus bars and the like on LV systems, but as with other VDE compliant screwdrivers the insulation can sometimes hinder proper access to deeply recessed terminal clamp screws. The kit comes with a belt mounting, Velcro lockable carry pouch, two handles and a good selection of 100mm length snap - fit blades, basically replacing the need to carry 8 conventional screwdrivers around in the field. The carry pouch has elastic retainers that hold the blades and handles, so minimal possibility of them dropping out if working at height for example. No issues with the “High Torque” handle, though the rotating hub on top of the “Precision” handle is a bit too long and flat for my liking.

Love this set. Well made, drivers fit snuggly into the handles. Sturdy case. So much easier for me to use and store without having a set with permanent handles.

Had my tools stolen before Xmas, just rebuilding these tools back up. i had them before. As a heating engineer they’re perfect and durable easy to use strong, good value for money
