Makita DML805/2 Cordless/ 240V Worklight - Battery And Charger Not Included [Energy Class A]

I had a set of rechargeable lamps that the charger point failed on the printed circuit board out of warranty so I purchased this dearer option and I am happy with it flexibility. It runs a long time on the standard Makita battery (not included) and if you are caught out when that expires just plug it in the mains with the plug. (as soon as it out of warranty I shall fit an inline plug at the lamp so that the cable can be detached and not be dangling from the lamp when you move it in battery mode.The light has 2 settings and a warning very low light level when the battery needs charging.The lamp is probably larger than you expect from the photos and the light output is not blinding like halogen lamps were, note! that the light give a working light level but is not massively overpowering floodlighting.Battery changing / compartment is good and secure from weather.

What a great light, awesome with battery or mains, essential kit in power cut. Light is really bright at high setting and not to shabby at low setting. Would recommend to anyone.

Superb light

I absolutely love these lights, I have 3 of them and they are son much better than the cheap and flimsy tripod versions you can buy.I love the fact that I can simply put one of my Makita batteries in it and I get 9 hours of working light, or I can just plug them in, having that option is amazing.These have a bright setting and a really bright setting, both of which are great when you are lacking in light.I know these seem a little expensive, but trust me they are worth every penny in the long run.Just don’t let others use and abuse them..!Highly recommended.

Really good. It’s too much money really but when you’ve got 15 Makita batteries it’s convenient. Comes with 2 pin plug which is annoying. I’ll never use it plugged in anyway as a 5ah battery lasts pretty much a full day on full brightness. You wouldn’t want to plaster or paint with it in a large room but for any other job on site it’s great.

I love this lamp. It works off the drill battery or the mains. Ideal for many situations where you need light without mains power. Definitely recommend.

Much better than expected, I use this frequently even when not strictly necessary.Battery is easy to insert/remove with two levels of light intensity. Light range and spread is acceptable depending on the work area.Limited adjustment on the light angle due to restricting cable management. One improvement would be to the carrying handle; this is a complete loop. If it was redesigned as open ended, or with a folding hook, then this would enable it to be suspended.In short, this is a great unit and one that I highly recommend.
