Lives up to hype
These little well built speakers are absurdly good and live up totally to expectations offering a level of detail and stability, particularly in the critical midrange, that you have no right to expect at this price. Driven by my Denon RCD37 they sound wonderful. Words of caution: they need "running in"; out of the box they sounded harsh, shouty and almost out of phase. I was almost going to return them when the true sound kicked in. They are also dismissive, like all good equipment, of less than good sources - shows DAB radio for what it really is. Because of their price they could be partnered with kit that simply won't do them justice. Something like the Denon is probably essential. Bearing that in mind - buy!

Great pair of bookshelf speakers
I just wanted to install something a bit better than the speakers that come with my 52" Samsung LED tv, but of course anything is better than that... But being a bit of an audiophile I started at a tiny level and then decided for something better to go with my blue ray unit and the image quality I get. Well these two speakers are now leaving the image at a lower level in comparison, so I'm afraid I will have to go for a better, bigger and more effective (such as 3D LED screen), to have a better balanced system. Either that or remove to speakers and install them with my living room Hi-Fi system turning it into a surround arrangement and place a couple of less effective, smaller drivers close to my tv... The only thing I can mention as a mediocre result is their lack of bass performance. I can understand that where I placed them, up high on the wall, hanging from their own design supports, too close to the wall surface, the bass reproduction is reduced tremendously, so I would recommend a medium sized active subwoofer to cover for their lack of low frequency response.

Small room, small speakers, pretty good sound
I did a fair amount of research and concluded on a pair of these. Apparently QAC are a part of QED who make fantastic cabling and have been around in the UK for quite a while. The units themselves are quite small which is great in my small study, but I run them from an old class A Sugden amp which lets them really sing. You won't get thumping bass, but the actually audio quality is not lacking with good equipment driving them. But it is subjective in the end, so you either need to have a listen before or take a gamble, I'm pleased with mine. They look good too, remind me a bit of AE1s from the past.

Buy better if you can
Very unimpressed with these speakers. I may be a little bit critical, comparing them to a pair of Rourks in the same room, but I expected better performance than the pair of Sony speakers that my little radio hifi unit was connected too. They are better but not much. I think the problem is reviews from hi fi magazines, they are not very accurate in my opinion, can't help thinking that advertisers get the prizes. However, at the price they are more than adequate. Incidentally, got them from Richer Sounds who are superb.

beware of Q ACOUSTICS products I bought these speakers in ...
beware of Q ACOUSTICS products I bought these speakers in feb 2013 to go with my Denon amplifier, LG blue ray player and sky+ box, all contained on my glass tv stand, after a couple of months my Denon av player started to switch back onto standby. after a while I notified amazon and returned the denon amp back for repair/replacement after a week the repair company emailed back saying the Denon av was tested and OK, they suspected the speakers were faulty and causing the system to break down I sent the speakers back to amazon and was told the speakers woofers were damaged , and had I PERHAPS had the speakers on TOO loud in which case it was miss-use on my part could not believe that statement, asked them if they were technically qualified to answer my email, and replied they would send them to Q acoustics for checking, Q ACOUSTICS found they were not working correctly but could not prove miss use so they repaired them under warranty I had returned the speakers back to amazon on 7th November, I received them back 25th November I have since obtained two new different speakers and will just keep the 2010i speakers as spares

Outstanding.
I bought a pair of these for the surround from our new Pioneer VSX921. The results are simply outstanding. Beautifully understated design is matched by the superb sound - full bodied, yet pure and undistorted. These are a What HiFi best buy, and deservedly so.As surround speakers they're perfect, and they also come with foam plugs for the bass reflex cavity, in case they're too boomy when used as bookshelf speakers. We have them mounted on their own supports at angles to the wall, and the sound could not be bettered. Unreservedly recommended.

Impressive
Wow, what an impressive pair of speakers. I use them in a 3.1 home cinema setup, combined with the 2000ci center speaker (and on older onkyo sub). They pack a lot of punch for their size and are very clear sounding. They're not too big and look really nice. And what a bargain!

Disappointed - needs a woofer
My wife had been objecting to my large old speakers taking up space in the living room so I decided that I would buy some compact bookshelf ones. What HiFi gave the Q Acoustic 2010i a 5 out of 5. This and the fact that they were tiny convinced me to buy these via Amazon. The 2010i can produce reasonable bass sound, but the baritone voice is much weaker than with the old speakers (Rotel RL150X with 8" woofer - probably about 35 yrs old). In general, there is a lack of richness in the lower mid frequencies. Maybe it's a crossover issue? I'm pretty certain that they are positoned OK. In my opinion, they don't rate 5/5, at least not without a separate woofer. So the Rotels are back temporarily, though to avoid divorce, I'll need to buy a separate subwoofer. KW

I am using as desktop speakers for my office. They are being powered by a Denon AVR 1612 in 2 channel/stereo mode. Give them about a week or two to break in and then you will be blown away by the tweeter and imaging. Even near-field listening. The tweeter is first class for the price and absolutely sings silky smooth, especially acoustic and jazz tracks. A steal at this price tag. Excellent build quality as well, with little to no resonance with cabinet knock test. Highly recommended!
